Explore our thanksgiving kids table ideas and crafts we’ve put together for you! I am a mother of 3 and I totally get how stressful holiday dinners can be with young kids. I wanted to share with you some easy, affordable and fun ideas to spruce up the kids table and keep them busy. Need more Thanksgiving ideas, check out Oriental Trading Co.

I highly recommend using plastic table cloths. They are super quick and easy to clean up and can be recycled. I used a brown plastic table cloth and made a homemade table runner with self adhesive foam leaves. Just peel and stick to the plastic table cloth and voila, it’s done!

I set the table with festive paper plates and orange plastic cutlery (also a great idea for easy clean up!). I found these placemats that the kids could color and gave each child a set of crayons they could take home.

We also had them make their own turkey magnet!

To keep the fun going, each child made their very own Native American Headdress! Aren’t these gorgeous? See the full tutorial here.

This year I wanted my kids to participate in the local food drive. I felt it was important to explain to them how lucky they are. That some people may not be as fortunate during the holidays to have big family dinners. That it is important we help when we can. Most schools host food drives that you can participate in or you can contact your local food bank and coordinate one as well.

These entire thanksgiving kids table ideas cost less than $5 per guest (based on 12 guests). This includes all the tableware and crafts!

Do you have favorite recipes or traditional recipes your family cooks every thanksgiving? My grandmother would always make a special ambrosia for the kids (adults loved it too!). I remember always picking out the maraschino cherries to eat first.

Make this thanksgiving one for your kids to remember. Head on over to Ella and Annie Facebook page and post your thanksgiving family traditions! We’d love to see what makes thanksgiving so special for you and your family.
