This glittery gooey slime science will be endless fun for your kids on a rainy day or any day for that matter! You only need 3 ingredients and a few minutes to make this slimy ball of fun.
Why borax and glue you ask? The borax helps the glue to thicken forming the big ball of goo.
What you need:
- Elmer’s Glitter Glue 6 oz.
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon borax
Pour the glue into a bowl. Set aside.
Dissolve the 1 teaspoon of borax into 1 cup of warm water.
Add the water and borax mixture to the glitter glue.
Using your hands work the glue into the water. Keep squishing the glue between your hands until it is not sticky anymore. If you take the glue out of the water and it is still super sticky, just put it back into the borax water until a solid goo forms.
A thick slime ball forms. Now it’s time to play with it! Kids just love squishing it between their fingers and stretching it apart. I must say that there is something extra special about glittery goo and how it sparkles in the sun. The Science is magical to kids and really fun to watch them ooh and aah!
Store the glittery goo in small containers. My kids were thinking of giving away some glittery goo to friends at school for Valentine’s day. What kid doesn’t love glittery gooey slime science experiments, right?
