During our letters to Santa playdate we partnered with Oriental Trading last Christmas, Ella, Annie, Evan and I made these delicious and fun hot cocoa spoons! You won’t believe how easy they are to make.
What you need:
- Plastic Spoons
- Candy Melts or Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 Teaspoon Oil
- Holiday Sprinkles
- Parchment Paper
Melt the candy melts in a small bowl according to package instructions. I always like to add 1/4 teaspoon of coconut oil to make the melted candy consistency smoother. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper (waxy side up). Dip each spoon into the melted candy and tap off excess. Place on the lined baking sheet. Put the spoons in fridge to harden.
Repeat the dipping process for each spoon and add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. Place spoons in fridge to harden. Package hot cocoa spoons in a clear cellophane bag with a ribbon and hand out as holiday gifts! They make great coffee spoons too!
