It can be so hard to keep your kids busy during Winter break, wouldn’t you agree? Our Christmas Perler Fuse Bead Activity will do the trick! I am always in search of activities that kind of force them to focus and sit still for longer than a minute. Perler fuse beads is an awesome activity that teaches patience, encourages creativity and promotes fine motor skills.
The kids put together a few Christmas characters for you to create! I have to say that the three versions of Santa turned out too cute! Easily transform your perler bead creations into ornaments by poking a small hole with a piercing tool and attaching a metal ornament hook. Wouldn’t these make great teacher gifts?
Christmas Perler Fuse Bead Activity
What you need:
- Perler Fuse Bead Multi-mix Bucket
- Christmas Perler Fuse Beads
- Perler Bead Pegboards
- Bead Trays
- Fuse Bead Ironing Paper
We have a large variety of perler fuse beads that we used; Christmas assortment and a multi-mix with patterns assortment. I put the fuse beads in these triangle trays to keep them separate (not that this lasted 😳 but it sure did look pretty!).
Ella decided to create her own pattern and make Rudolf the red nose reindeer! Didn’t he turn out cute? Once your kiddos have created their design, place a piece of the fuse bead ironing paper on top of the beads and press down gently with a iron on low heat. Move the iron back and forth to help melt the beads evenly.
Allow the beads to cool before peeling off the ironing paper.
